Established in 1970 Cape Mentelle is one of Margaret River’s original three founding wineries and will celebrate 50 years in 2020.
Today Margaret River is recognised as one of the finest wine producing regions of the world. Located in the far south-west corner of Western Australia at the congruence of the Indian & Great Southern Ocean’s, the region benefits from an ideal maritime climate, creating exceptional vine growing conditions.
Cape Mentelle’s signature wines include Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon. The Cabernet Sauvignon has a track record of exceptional quality and consistency since the winery’s foundation. Marmaduke is a recent addition to the range.
Established in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first wineries in Marlborough. Recognised internationally as a benchmark producer of sauvignon blanc, Cloudy Bay is widely credited for paving the way for the success of New Zealand wines globally. The wines of Cloudy Bay express the pure flavours and stunning vibrancy naturally afforded by this southern wine region.
In 2010 Cloudy Bay ventured south to Central Otago and has since developed and released their acclaimed expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir, Te Wahi.
