Château Rauzan-Ségla occupies a real mosaic of terroirs. The efforts of several generations were rewarded in 1855, when the property ranked at the top of the Second Classified Growths. Since 1994, CHANEL enables its wines to attain the full magnitude of their reputation. Gravels, clay and limestone present at various depths and quantity help each grape variety to express its subtleness: each plot is worked, picked and vinified separately with great precision. The art of blending plays its full role to create this unctuous, refined and remarkably complex wine.
Nestled on a limestone plateau in Saint-Émilion, Château Canon is an exemplary estate with a terroir of exceptional quality which led it to become a 1er Cru Classé in 1954. Surrounded by walls, the vineyards are planted on gentle slopes which sweep down to the village of Saint-Émilion. The team at Château Canon has maximized the potential of the terroir to reveal complexity and finesse in its wines which continues under its owners CHANEL, who bought the property in 1996.
