Perched on an exceptional site with incomparable views over the Gironde estuary, in the center of a hundred-year-old park, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a majestic, Victorian-style castle, which has, over the last three centuries, become one of the great symbols of Bordeaux.
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou owes its name to the big and beautiful pebbles “beaux cailloux” that are a characteristic feature of its unique terroir. Situated in the eastern section of the Saint-Julien appellation, Ducru-Beaucaillou vineyards overlook the banks of the Gironde estuary. This remarkable place is bathed in a macroclimate forged by the nearby estuary.
Since his appointment in 2003, owner and CEO Bruno-Eugène Borie has focused on excellence, having transformed an already successful and respected Château into one of the leading vineyards from the 1855 classification.”
